What is Shop Pay Installments?

Shop Pay is an accelerated checkout option. Shop Pay Installments is a separate financing option that can let eligible customers pay for eligible purchases over time. Choosing Shop Pay does not automatically mean choosing a loan or qualifying for installments.

Store availability: Shop Pay Installments may be available for eligible customers and purchases. Availability and payment plans are subject to an eligibility check. Review the actual options and terms presented at checkout before deciding; financing is not guaranteed for every customer or order.

How to explore your options at checkout

1. Add your chosen items to your cart and review your total.
2. Choose Shop Pay at checkout and sign in or sign up.
3. If installments are offered for your order, select that option to review the available plans. You can instead choose to pay in full or leave checkout.
4. Before agreeing, read the actual offer, including the APR, any fees, down payment, total repayment amount, payment dates, and automatic-payment terms. Agree only if the plan fits your budget.

Eligibility and terms

Availability depends on the store, purchase, location, and customer eligibility. For U.S. purchases, eligible order totals generally range from $35 to $30,000 USD, including discounts, shipping, and taxes. Domestic eligibility requires matching U.S. billing, shipping, payment details, and account country, with checkout in USD. Customers must be signed up for Shop Pay and meet the financing provider’s eligibility requirements. Not every customer or purchase qualifies.

Depending on the purchase and the offer, plans can include biweekly installments or monthly financing. Four equal, interest-free payments are not universally available. Available plans, interest, fees, down payments, payment amounts, and schedules can vary. Do not assume a plan is free of borrowing costs. The offer presented at checkout, not these examples, determines your terms.

Hypothetical examples, not guaranteed offers

$100 purchase: If an eligible customer were offered four equal payments with no interest or fees and no separate down payment, the arithmetic would be $25 per payment, totaling $100.

$200 purchase: Under those same hypothetical assumptions, four equal payments would be $50 per payment, totaling $200.
